Alison Lohans

Alison Lohans was born and raised in Reedley, California, an agricultural town near Fresno. In 1971 she emigrated to Canada with her husband to live in Victoria, British Columbia where she taught at the high school level. In 1976 Alison moved to Regina, Saskatchewan where she is currently involved in teaching Creative Writing for Children correspondence courses through the University of Regina. Alison has published a number of books for young adults, including Who Cares About Karen? (Scholastic, 1983), Can You Promise Me Spring? (Scholastic, 1986), and Mystery of the Lunchbox Criminal (Scholastic, 1990). Her latest novel Don't Think Twice will be published in the fall of 1997 by Thistledown Press.
