Peter Christensen graduated with a degree in Creative Writing from the University of Lethbridge in 1975, and shortly thereafter published his first collection of poetry, Hail Storm (Thistledown 1977). He has since published the poetry titles Rig Talk (Thistledown 1981) and To Die Ascending (Thistledown 1988), as well as a number of chapbooks and inclusions in anthologies.
He has given readings of his work across Canada and throughout the American west and Texas, and his work has received national critical acclaim.
